Your family's gross annual income must be below ₹8 Lakhs. Additionally, your family must NOT own 5 acres or more of agricultural land, a residential flat of 1000 sq ft or more, or a residential plot of 100/200 sq yards in notified/non-notified municipalities respectively.
An EWS certificate is usually valid for one financial year from the date of issue. You must apply for a new one at the start of every financial year to continue claiming quota benefits.
