How it works
- Pick the document. Choose the country and document type, for example India passport. The tool loads that document's size and background rules.
- Upload or take a photo. JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB. Stand facing the camera in even light; a white wall or studio is not needed.
- Check the free preview. You see a watermarked preview and a compliance report. If a rule can't be met (for example the head is tilted), it tells you before you pay.
- Pay and download. One payment gives the digital JPG at the required pixel and file size, plus print sheets with several copies and cut lines.

What you get
- Digital photo: a JPG at the exact pixel size and file size, ready for online forms such as Passport Seva, the US DS-160 or HM Passport Office.
- Print sheets: A4 and 4×6 in layouts at true size (300 DPI) with cut lines. Print at 100% scale, not "fit to page".
- Other documents: presets for the US, UK, Canada, Schengen, Australia, Germany, China, UAE and many more passport, visa and ID formats.
Price and privacy
Previews and compliance reports are free. A finished document costs US$5.99, paid once. Its pricing page lists UPI, cards and PayPal; cards and PayPal convert the amount to rupees. No account is needed.
According to its FAQ, uploaded photos are used only to make your document photo, are not used to train AI, and are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload, so download your files soon after paying.
Before you take the photo
- Face the camera straight on, eyes open, mouth closed, neutral expression.
- Remove tinted glasses and caps; religious head coverings are usually allowed if the face is fully visible.
- Use soft, even light from the front so there are no shadows on the face or behind you.
- Keep the phone at eye level, about an arm's length away, and avoid wide-angle selfie distortion.
GetVisaPhoto is an independent service and is not affiliated with any government agency. Acceptance of a photo is always decided by the issuing authority.
