Go to nvsp.in, the official portal for voter registration.
Complete Form 6 (for new voter registration) with your details.
Upload scanned copies of identity, address, and age proof.
Submit the online application and note the reference number.
An official may visit your address for verification.
Once approved, your Voter ID will be delivered to your address or available for download as e-EPIC.
You can update details on your Voter ID (EPIC) — such as name, address, age, photo, or mobile number — through the Voter Helpline Portal (voters.eci.gov.in) by submitting Form 8.
Go to voters.eci.gov.in and click "Login/Register".
Choose to correct details in your existing voter registration.
Enter your EPIC number, select the field to correct, and provide the correct information.
Upload proof of the correction (e.g., Aadhaar for address change).
Submit Form 8 online and note the reference number.
Once approved, download your updated e-EPIC (digital Voter ID) from the same portal.
You can download your e-EPIC (digital Voter ID card) for free from the Voter Helpline Portal or the Voter Helpline app. e-EPIC is legally valid as identity proof.
Go to voters.eci.gov.in and log in with your registered mobile number.
Click on the "Download e-EPIC" option from your dashboard.
Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Your e-EPIC will be downloaded as a PDF. It is Password-protected with your first 4 letters of name + birth year.
After submitting a new registration or correction request, you can check the status using your application reference number on the Voter Helpline Portal.
Go to voters.eci.gov.in and log in.
Click on "Track Status" in your account dashboard.
Enter the reference number received after form submission.
Check whether your application is pending, approved, or if any action is required.
You can vote using other approved identity documents like Aadhaar, Passport, or Driving License, but Voter ID is the primary document.
Visit nvsp.in and use the 'Search Your Name in Electoral Roll' feature.
e-EPIC is the digital version of your Voter ID card that can be downloaded from the Voter Helpline app or website.
You must be an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old on the qualifying date (usually Jan 1st of the year), and a resident of the polling area where you are applying. You'll need proof of age, proof of address, and a passport-size photograph.
You can download a digital, printable version called the e-EPIC directly from the official Voter Helpline Portal (voters.eci.gov.in) using your EPIC number or Form 6 reference number.
