Go to voters.eci.gov.in or download the official 'Voter Helpline App' from Google Play Store.
Sign up with your mobile number, verify via OTP, and log into the citizen dashboard.
Select 'New registration for general electors (Form 6)'. Fill in your constituency, personal details, date of birth, and current residential address.
If you already have a Voter ID and need to shift address or correct name/photo, select 'Form 8 (Shifting of residence / Correction of entries)'.
The appointed local Booth Level Officer (BLO) performs physical verification of your residential address.
Once approved by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), instantly download your digital e-EPIC PDF. A physical embossed PVC card will be dispatched free of cost via Speed Post.
Update your address, name spelling, photograph, or mobile number on your Voter ID card:
Sign in to the Voters' Service Portal and select 'Form 8 (Correction of entries / Shifting)'.
Type your 10-character Voter ID number to fetch your constituency records.
Check the boxes for Address, Name, or Photo and upload the corresponding self-attested proof.
Submit Form 8 and use the generated acknowledgment ID to track BLO verification.
Download an official digital e-EPIC Voter ID PDF online:
Go to the portal and select 'Download e-EPIC'.
Input your EPIC ID and select your State.
Enter the 6-digit OTP received on your ECI-registered mobile number.
Download and save the official high-resolution e-EPIC card with QR verification.
Track the status of Form 6 (New Voter) or Form 8 (Correction/Shifting):
Navigate to voters.eci.gov.in and click 'Track Application Status'.
Enter your alphanumeric receipt number.
View whether your application is Submitted, BLO Appointed, Field Verified, or Accepted.
An e-EPIC (Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card) is a secure, portable PDF version of the Voter ID card issued with a secured QR code containing photo and demographic details. Under ECI guidelines, a printed or digital e-EPIC is 100% legally valid as photo identity proof and for voting at polling booths.
1) Visit voters.eci.gov.in or open the Voter Helpline app. 2) Log in and click 'E-EPIC Download'. 3) Enter your 10-digit EPIC Number (or Form Reference Number) and select your state. 4) Authenticate using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. 5) Click 'Download e-EPIC' to save the official PDF.
Form 8 is the universal statutory form used for: 1) Shifting of residence (within or outside the assembly constituency), 2) Correction of entries (name, age, DOB, photo, mobile number), and 3) Replacement of lost/damaged EPIC without correction.
YES! If your name is officially listed on the Electoral Roll (voter list), you can vote at your assigned polling booth by showing any of the 12 alternative approved photo IDs (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Bank Passbook with photo, or MGNREGA Job Card).
Visit voters.eci.gov.in and click 'Search in Electoral Roll'. You can search by: 1) Details (Name, Relative Name, DOB), 2) EPIC Number, or 3) Mobile Number OTP.
